Yoga Teacher Training Course

For those who wish to take their Yoga practice to a professional level

We believe that a yoga teacher should have a wide knowledge of Yoga. Its philosophy, and history, a developed understanding and skill in teaching all of the practices including Postures, treating relaxation and meditation, from the word go.

On this training course we give a particular emphasis to the therapeutic aspects of Yoga Practice, to train teachers who can work both as class teachers and have confidence to teach all age groups and know how to modify and teach safety for common health issues in class.

Over the duration of the course you will learn the key elements of yoga practice and how to teach them safely and effectively to people of varying abilities.

Real Yoga Certificate in Yoga Teaching

The real yoga training covers teaching skills for all yoga disciplines :

  • Asana ( postures)
  • Pranayama ( breathing)
  • Relaxation and the stress response ( Pratyahara, and Yoga Nidra)
  • Meditation
  • Study of subtle anatomy, Chakras and Pancha Kosha
  • Anatomy and physiology as applied to Yoga practices
  • Study of Yoga Texts and their value in a modern world
  • Class planning and legal requirements

Teacher Certificate Entry Requirements

To join the course you will need to have at least 2 years experience of yoga practice. We do consider applicants who have undertaken individual or home practice although we will review this experience prior to you joining the course.

Course Duration

Our teaching Certificate course runs over two years. And is held at weekends on a bi monthly basis.

The Interface Between Healing and Yoga

Exploring the common history that links these two modalities and how one supports the other in our understanding of the human state. We will practice some of the pranic healing techniques and learn to 'sense' subtle energy. Useful in self care and with clients.

Yoga as a therapeutic response to grief

The aim of this workshop is to help you understand common physical, emotional and spiritual responses to grief and how yoga can enable a therapeutic response. It will offer an engaging mix of presentation, small group work and practical yoga.

Post Graduate Course in Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is the adaptation of yoga teaching for people with specific health needs. It is taught by yoga teachers with additional training and experience in the therapeutic application of yoga.
